When downloading a package with pacman I get the error message

Error: Failed retrieving the file '$pkgname-$pkgver-$pkgrel-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz' from $mirror: Maximum file size exceeded

What should I do?


Some sync-fault between (german) servers? Maximum file size exceeded
GitLab replaces gitolite, cgit, and Flyspray (and other changes)

Please report it in the appropriate project on our issue tracker by following this procedure:

  1. Select the project (repository) that the package is found in the dropdown menu to the right of the button labelled New issue in $project, and then click the button.
  2. Type $pkgname-$pkgver-$pkgrel in the text field named Title.
  3. Type a fitting Description etc. of the issue, e.g. Replace the words beginning with the $ symbol with the appropriate name and numbers.
  4. Add the label Broken package.
  5. Click the button labelled Submit issue.
Example

In this example, the package digikam is used.

  1. Select the project desktop from the dropdown menu and click the button labelled New issue in desktop.
  2. Type digikam-4.11.0-1 in the text field named Title
  3. Type a fitting description etc. of the issue, e.g.
  4. Add the label Broken package.
  5. Click the button labelled Submit issue.
