Linux-zen; have you ever tested a different kernel then the default kernel?

(kepszlok) #21

I got some acpi related stuff.

(tom) #22

seems nasty and it is build related.
actually i struggle with our PKGBUILD and in the packaging section with wrong paths and as result with failing deepmod and i suppose this could be the reason for your error messages.

depmod: ERROR: Bad version passed

haven’t you seen errors at your kernel build time experiment?

(kepszlok) #23

No, i did not seen that error. (i did not built Chakra kernel by hand)

(Luca Giambonini) #24

hm… I see some errors on my pc too.

nov 27 23:20:17 chakra-pc systemd-modules-load[30757]: Failed to insert 'acpi_call': Exec format error
nov 27 23:20:17 chakra-pc systemd-modules-load[30757]: Failed to insert 'vhba': Exec format error

this error are generated by the fact that the chakra ck kernel was build separately, and both acpi and vhba must be rebuild against that. To fix it I would create a dkms module.

(Luca Giambonini) #25

Done, you can try to install them with:

pacman -S acpi_call-dkms vhba-module-dkms

(kepszlok) #26

It works! There are no more errors.
